Community Resource Centers (CRC) (opened during PSPS events):
What: If elevated weather conditions, including potential fire risk, threaten a portion of the electric system serving a community, it may be necessary for PG&E to turn off electricity in the interest of public safety. This is known as a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS). To help affected communities during a PSPS event, PG&E may open Community Resource Centers (CRC). PG&E will provide: blankets, snacks and water, Air-conditioning/heating, Device charging, Ice, ADA-accessible restroom and washing station, Seating, Small medical device charging, and Wi-Fi.
